This is a somewhat dated software that doesn’t use modern animation techniques like motion capture, bone rigging or lip syncing so a lot of extra animation work is required. DigiCel FlipBook allows you to draw 2D animations with your mouse or tablet pen, or capture rough animation drawings under a camera and scan your final drawings into a traditional timing sheet where you can add a soundtrack and cut, copy, paste and drag and drop thumbnail images to adjust the timing and repeat cycles. It works with a Wacom tablet so you can easily draw within the program or use a scanner to import your creations. There are no character libraries, backgrounds or other premade effects so you will need to draw everything yourself.
